About it – This cab facility was started by Chandra Kiran, who has 20 years of experience in the business. Chandra Kiran was working with other travel companies before he started Kiran Cabs in 2002.  

 

Cab Details – Kiran Cabs has 35 cars in all including Indica, Qualis, Innova, Tavera, Rhino, Hyundai Accent, Skoda, Corolla, Esteem, Indigo and Ikon. The cars are all air-conditioned and come equipped with music systems. The luxury cabs also have LCD screens. A daily newspaper, bottled water and napkins are complimentary.

 

Kiran Cabs also has a tie-up with other travel agencies and can arrange for 12, 22, 35 and 55 seater coaches. These can be hired for a minimum of eight hours or 80 kilometers. For outstation travel the minimum is 300 kilometers.

 

Cab Driver Details – Kiran Cabs has 40 professional and licensed drivers with mobile phones. Their uniform is all white (shirts and trousers). All the drivers can communicate in Hindi and Telugu and some in English as well. If a client requests for a particular language-speaking driver, that can be arranged too.

 

Charges – All cars have metered reading and the meter starts from Kiran Cabs office and ends at the client’s destination. Billing is computerized. They offer discounts to corporates and on bulk booking.

 

They have various charges per car and start with a minimum slab of two hours or 20 kilometers for cabs. So you can book for 2 hours/20 kilometers, 4 hours/40 kilometers and 8 hours/80 kilometers. Beyond that you are charged extra for every kilometer. For outstation travel, the minimum slab for smaller cars is 300 kilometers and for luxury cars it’s 250 kilometers.

 

For 2 hours/20 kilometers for instance, a non air-conditioned Indica would be available for Rs. 300. For the same period or distance, a Honda City Lancer would be available for Rs. 1,100.

 

Parking fees, service tax and toll tax will be chargeable to the client. Border tax is applicable on outstation travel, is chargeable to the client and differs from state to state.

 

The charges for coaches are on a per kilometer basis and differ for each.

 

A guide can be arranged for the coaches and will come at an extra charge.
